Coach Bernard — One Percent Better Forever

Coach Bernard’s coaching journey began around age 19 or 20, when he realized a path focused on money wouldn’t necessarily bring him happiness. While pursuing an IT-related degree, he began working out on his own with limited guidance. That curiosity led him to switch majors to Health and Human Performance and dive into hands-on learning. About a year into his studies, he landed an internship at a small gym, which soon became a paid position as the gym grew and evolved under different owners, names, and training methods.
What never changed through all the changes is Bernard’s core mission: to help people. He discovered his true passion in seeing clients succeed and in guiding them to real, tangible wins—no matter how small. Today, Bernard thrives on working with anyone who shares a commitment to continuous improvement and the discipline to get 1% better every day.
Coaching Philosophy
People-first approach: Bernard believes meaningful progress comes from understanding each client’s goals, strengths, and daily realities.
Small, consistent gains: He focuses on sustainable improvements—minute, daily steps that compound over time.
Evidence-based, adaptable methods: Bernard blends his deep knowledge of Human Performance with practical training strategies that adapt to individual needs.
If you’re ready to train with someone who celebrates every milestone and pushes you toward a stronger, healthier version of yourself—one percent at a time—Coach Bernard is here to guide you every step of the way.
Coach Dana — One Percent Better Forever

I started college as a math major, but a pivotal moment changed my path forever. My grandmother, who always battled her weight, passed away too young. A doctor once said that if she had been more active and healthier, things might have turned out differently. That small bit of hope for more time with her inspired me to switch my major to Exercise Science.
Although I always played sports, I hadn’t truly embraced training until I got to the gym. At the University of Louisville, I began learning how to train and landed an internship at a local gym that taught group classes. I worked my way up, eventually owning the gym. Yet, owning a business didn’t align with the life I wanted to lead. I realized I couldn’t give 100% to my clients while also prioritizing my family. So I sold the business to focus on personal training and, most importantly, on my family.
Today, my mission is simple: help people live their best life — to be healthy, confident, and able to do the things they love for as long as they want to do them. To me, movement isn’t just important; it’s VITAL.
What I love about this industry is witnessing meaningful changes in people’s daily lives. My dad is a perfect example: when he began working out, small things like going up and down stairs or being able to change the oil in the car without getting winded became possible again. It’s not just about losing weight or setting a personal record — though those milestones are incredible. It’s about the practical improvements that uplift everyday life. Those moments are why I’m passionate about coaching.

Coach Carson — One Percent Better Forever
I became a personal trainer in my 40s—a leap that felt scary yet deeply meaningful. I’m passionate about exercise because movement consistently boosts my mood, builds my strength, and reinforces confidence in both body and mind. I want to share that gift with others, helping them feel the same benefits.
Growing up, I was surrounded by role models who valued strength and took great care of their bodies. Their example showed me early on how important it is to prioritize health and movement throughout life.
For me, exercise isn’t just physical activity—it’s medicine for the mind and body and a key to living a long, healthy life. My mission is to help people feel better in their bodies and in their everyday lives.
Whether you’re just starting out or returning to fitness, I’m here to help—because it’s never too late to move well, feel strong, and thrive.
Coaching Philosophy
People-first, results-driven: I focus on your goals, daily realities, and how you want to feel, not just what you want to achieve.
Movement as a habit: Small, sustainable improvements compound over time to create lasting change.
Mind-body connection: I blend strength training, mobility, and mindset strategies to support overall well-being.
Adaptable, evidence-informed: Training plans are tailored to you and adjust as you progress, and your life evolves.
If you’re ready to train with someone who meets you where you are and helps you become stronger—physically and mentally—one percent at a time, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
